![]() The Movie Box DV that I have is hard to find now, and it is no longer officially supported, but they are very solidly built and seem to last forever if you can get one. In fact, this old box still works today other than it only works in SD (no HD here). When I first started converting some old "out of print" VHS tapes to DVD for my wife's classes many years ago, I purchased the Pinnacle MovieBox DV which was my analog-to-digital convertor. ![]() ![]() If you get yourself a Digital8 camcorder (I have a Sony one) you can connect the "iLink port" to your MacBook Pro with a FireWire cable, and then iMove can connect to the camera and even control the tape playback/pause options. Well, your MacBook Pro should have iMovie already installed, and that along with an analog to digital convertor is all you really need.
